Alantra advises Altius on investment by MML Capital Partners

Alantra, the global mid-market investment banking firm, has advised Altius, one of Europe’s fastest-growing technology businesses, on a minority investment by private equity firm MML Capital Partners, that will support its continued UK growth and international expansion.

Altius specialises in helping companies harness their data enabling them to drive improved business performance.  Headquartered in London with offices in The Netherlands and India, Altius employs over 250 staff and delivers advisory, data platform, performance management and data science solutions and services.

This is the latest in a series of transactions in the technology consultancy sector advised by Alantra and comes just weeks after Livingbridge’s investment in leading management consultancy Vendigital, also advised by Alantra.

The Alantra team comprised Richard Sanders, Simon Roberts, William Cooke and Harry Sparks.

Richard Sanders, Partner at Alantra, said: “We are delighted to have played an instrumental role in helping Altius find an investment partner that brings a powerful combination of experience and funding to support its ambitious expansion plans, both in the UK and internationally.  The business operates in a rapidly growing international market in which high-quality consultancies such as Altius are able to generate substantial value to the C-Suite. Over two-thirds of executives expect to increase their data consultancy spend over the next year and as such, it’s a sector in which we forecast considerable growth, with continued interest from both financial investors and strategic acquirers.”

Simon Goldsmith, CEO at Altius says “We were impressed with MML’s flexibility and collaborative approach from day one. We feel they are the right partner to complement the existing Altius team and look forward to working with them to continue our UK and international growth.”

Luke Jones, Partner at MML Capital says “The team at Altius have built a fantastic business with very exciting growth opportunities.  They do great work in helping companies realise the opportunity from advanced uses of data and we are delighted to be working with them through the next phase of their journey.”
