Andrew is a partner with over 25 years of investment banking experience in corporate acquisition finance and sponsor leveraged finance.
As Head of Debt Capital Markets in the UK, Andrew brings an extensive track record in helping businesses access both new sources of debt capital and manage existing debt facilities.
Recent deals include advising Gladman Developments on a £100m debt refinance, Bowmark Capital on the buy-out of Lawyers on Demand, advising Kester Capital on the management buy-out of Jollyes Retail Group, the sale of Chevron Traffic Management to Triton, advising Rutland Partners on its acquisition of Armitage Pet Care, the management buy-out of Addo Food Group, advising Waterland Private Equity Investments on the refinancing of Ballast Phoenix and raising new debt for Foster + Partners, as well as at the other end of the spectrum advising Gala Coral on £1.3bn of debt facilities.
Prior to Alantra, he worked at Barclays Capital where he was Global Head of Debt Advisory and one of the senior Managing Directors working in European Leveraged Finance. Andrew has extensive experience across a broad array of debt instruments, including high yield capital markets, loans, securitisation, asset backed, bonds, amendments & waivers.
Before starting his career in investment banking, Andrew was a graduate in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and trained as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC).
Outside of work Andrew spends his free time in the mountains – biking, climbing, walking and skiing with his wife and four sons. Away from corporate finance Andrew is a board member and trustee of EveryChild, a global development charity which aims to prevent children, who may have been left without family, from growing up vulnerable and alone.
